Where an AI agent belongs in a business system
An agent is useful when it has a job, a boundary, and a person who can take the work back. This is how Apex scopes that work.

A chat window is an easy demo and a poor operating model. The teams Apex works with already have a CRM, a document pile, or an internal tool. The agent has to live there.
The first decision is the job. Research a lead. Extract fields from a document. Draft a reply for someone to send. If the job cannot be stated as a verb and an object, it is not ready to build.
The second decision is the boundary. The agent may read a defined set of records and may write a draft. It may not send, pay, or delete unless a person confirms it. That rule is a product decision, not a prompt.
The third decision is the handoff. Every agent Apex ships has a place where a person sees the result and can correct it. The correction is how the workflow stays trustworthy after the first week.
LeadsFizz and Zomani are where Apex practices this on its own products: AI inside a workflow, with a review step, rather than a model left alone with a customer.
